Bringing you another Costoberfest Spotlight, this time from the United Kindgom!

Roxy has been attending and working at comic conventions since she was 15. It was a few years later, while working at a local London Convention and attending to the voice actors from Futurama, that one suggested to Roxy that she should try costuming. She took the idea and ran with it, convincing her friends to join her! In the beginning she says she was terrified and self conscious but it was only a short time and she found herself part of the very welcoming costuming community.

In the beginning Roxy looked to her friends to create costumes, but now she sews and crafts her costumes all on her own. Roxy says, “I am lucky enough to have some very talented friends within the costume community who have been a great support. I always say though, the best way to learn is to just give it a go and I have made lots of mistakes along the way but that is just how you learn.”

A huge cartoon fan, Roxy found her love for Marvel via the classic cartoons, including her favorite character, Rogue. Plus she states that she geeks out over amazing costumes, specially X-Men ones!

Thanks to Roxy! You can see even more of her costumes over at her FaceBook Page!
