We’re thrilled to share that the pitches were well received and that 3 teams have now been connected with senior sponsors from SC CRES. They will provide invaluable support as they continue to iterate on their solutions, with the goal of bringing their ideas to life 🚀. Yesterday, we had the privilege of hosting the Ignite and Inspire networking session, as part of the #WomeninEntrepreneurship incubator program, in partnership with Singapore Management University’s Lien Centre for Social Innovation. We brought together female founders from the program's first cohort and beyond, with the goal of sharing knowledge and tools to help them navigate their entrepreneur journeys and scale their businesses successfully. Over the session, we set up 10 interactive booths where experts from SC Ventures, our ventures, as well as Standard Chartered’s SME Banking team shared insights and advice on topics including #fundraising strategies, #operational efficiency, #marketing, #designthinking, financial products and more. Our ventures, Project #Engram, Labamu, letsbloom and Olea also exhibited, sharing their innovative solutions to help small businesses grow, and it was great to see the exchange of knowledge, experiences and learnings between founders. Overall, it was invigorating to witness the energy, enthusiasm and passion of this community. What really made this event special was the deep engagement within the community – exploring ideas, and exchanging experiences, shared challenges and best practices. It was great to partner with Standard Chartered #Japan at this year’s #JapanDigitalWeek, “The Blueprint for Tomorrow: Unlocking Value through Digitisation and Venture Partnering” in Tokyo! Building on last year’s forum which was more exploratory in nature, this year’s seminar focused on emerging technologies, established use cases (especially in the space of AI), our strategy to build deeper partnerships with our clients in the region, as well as the strategic partnerships we've forged with Japanese corporates since last year. We kicked off with an opening speech from Yusuke Asai, Standard Chartered Japan CEO, who shared how the bank's Japan segment is paving the way for a new era of digital commerce and finance. Following that, we brought together experts from the bank, our partners and leading startups to share their perspectives on the exciting opportunities emerging in the space of #Web3, #AI and more. Here are a few key takeaways: Timothy Lo and Apurv Suri, from our client engagement team, explained how we're approaching client partnerships and our focus on leveraging new technologies to develop business models and joint ventures which better serve society.
