Kent Davis joined the ABC12 News team in March of 2022. He is relatively new to the field, but he's no amateur.

With nearly a decade's worth of broadcasting experience, Kent has a knack for the camera and keyboard. As a student in Bloomfield Hills, he and his friend co-hosted "Subject to Change" every Friday afternoon on their high school's award-winning station, WBFH. He also won multiple John Drury high school radio awards for his promos and public service announcements.

Kent earned his bachelor of arts in English and political science from Albion College, where he also volunteered as a writer for the Albion Pleiad newspaper. It was also at this time when he interned with the Local Voice at Orion Neighborhood Television, which he followed with an internship at CMNTV in Oakland County.

In 2020, Kent joined WBKB11 News as an anchor and reporter in Alpena, Michigan, where he cut his teeth on tense board of education meetings, heartwarming human interest stories and dramatic local politics. He was honored for his work by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.

As a born Metro Detroiter, Kent's happy to be in Flint and closer to family. He looks forward to learning more about Genesee County and the surrounding region while growing as a reporter and storyteller.

In his spare time, Kent enjoys riding his bike, playing video games and relaxing with his cat Emilia, who is objectively the World's Best Cat. He's also a fan of the "Transformers" franchise, with a variety of different figures in his collection.
