Nigel Farage’s return to frontline politics has seen Reform UK’s vote almost double ahead of the general election on July 4.

The architect of Brexit announced he would be the party’s leader on Monday and stand as a candidate in Clacton, in Essex.

A Survation survey of 1,056 adults on Thursday and Friday found 15 percent plan to vote Reform, up seven points from 27 May when the polling company put the party on eight percent.

It is the highest return ever recorded by Reform in a Survation poll. The party is third behind Labour on 43 points and the Conservatives on 23.

Luke Tryl, director of pollster More In Common, said: “Third poll with Reform jump and Labour fall bigger than the Tory one.

“Likely churn but (and far too soon to say this so very much a Question) could Farage eat into a broader based voter pool in a way UKIP did - whereas Reform has been (almost) exclusively taking from Tories till now?”

A second poll in two days has put Reform just two points behind the Conservatives.

The Redfield & Wilton survey of 2,000 adults found 17 percent plan to vote Reform and 19 percent for the Conservatives.

A YouGov poll on Wednesday put the parties on the same vote shares.

The Redfield & Wilton poll found more men will vote for Reform at the ballot box than for the Conservatives.

It found 19 percent of male respondents said they would vote Reform, compared to 18 percent for the Tories.

The Conservatives continue to lead Reform among women, at 15 percent compared to 12 percent respectively.
