Jane McDonald delights fans as she returns to TV with Gogglebox announcement

Jane McDonald will return to Channel 4 in June after announcing her Celebrity Gogglebox return. The 61-year-old announced that she will return alongside her best friend of 30 years, Sue Ravey.

Taking to social media the presenter confirmed the news on Instagram. She penned to her 228,000 followers: "Sue and I are back on Celebrity Gogglebox! Turn the TV on and get the snacks ready!! The new series starts on Friday 7th June at 10.10pm on @channel4."

Thrilled fans jumped to the comments section and penned: "Oh this will be great jane & Sue." While a second person added: "YES Can't wait yippee yippee yippee .lots of luv Jane always."

Welcoming back the duo a third said: "Great news, looking forward to seeing the dynamic duo having a bit of Yorkshire banter." Meanwhile, a fourth person shared: "Yay can't wait you two are a great laugh x."

This comes after the star shut down rumours that suggested she would return to Loose Women. Jane took part in the popular daytime chat show for ten years before her exit.

Loose Women is s set to celebrate their 25th anniversary this September but Jane McDonald has revealed she will not be returning.

The singer was a beloved panellist appearing alongside the likes of Andrea McClean and Gloria Hunniford for nearly a decade.

However, she left the popular chat show back in 2014 after claiming that she no longer enjoyed it.

She told the Sun: "It was because certain people behind the scenes weren't being nice and I wasn't enjoying it.' 'Then those people went onto other things and great people came in, and I've loved it ever since."

Since she stepped away from the show, she has gone on to front several popular shows including her popular cruise programme.

Although she was tipped to return for the special episode with eager fans speculating her long awaited return.

Jane’s representatives previously shut down reports. They said that she would not be taking part and no plans were being discussed.

In the statement, they shared: "There are no discussions taking place with regards to Jane returning to Loose Women whatsoever."

Before adding: "She always thoroughly enjoys going back as a guest and catching up with the ladies but there's no plans to go back as a panellist."
