Professor Noel Fitzpatrick is back with a brand-new series of The Supervet which starts on Channel 4 this June. The 56-year-old Irishman found fame after his groundbreaking techniques in veterinary surgery.

Noel became the first vet in the world to successfully apply an amputation prosthesis to a cat named Oscar who had lost both hind feet in an accident. This led to him featuring in the BBC’s six-episode Bionic Vet series back in 2010.

In 2014 Channel 4 started airing The Supervet, which is based at his veterinary practice Fitzpatrick Referrals in Surrey. That practice continues to run and the show, which is now on its 19th series, continues to be a popular choice among television viewers.

Announcing his long-awaited return, he posted on Instagram: "Excited to share the news that a new series of The #Supervet is set for 13th June on @channel4 ! X." Fans flocked to the comments section after being left ecstatic over the news.

One user wrote: "That’s fantastic. Will look forward to seeing all the animals you treated and their progress." A second said: "WOW, that's FANTASTIC news. Look forward to it immensely. Was hoping that one day we would get to see another series, excellent."

The popular star has attracted fans from all over the globe, with one person claiming that they will be tuning in from Belgium.

"Great for everyone who will be able to watch. Sad for me because this won't be broadcast in Belgium. Big kisses from Belgium to all," they penned.

"Will be watching it all the way from the USA.. CAN'T wait," added another person.

A sixth person added: "Wonderful news, Noel. Looking forward to see it in Sweden in about three years."

Thanks to his talents he has racked up a large celebrity clientele and has a strong royal connection thanks to his dedication and talents.

In 2017 he treated Meghan Markle's dog, Guy, after he broke two of his legs before they tied the knot.

After helping the four-legged pooch Noel earned himself an invite to their royal wedding. However, he said that he ended up leaving early.

He told the Daily Mail at the time: "Prince Charles gave a few words and Elton played a bit on piano and it was all very nice. There were canapés. It was a magnificent occasion and also incredibly humbling. I was thinking, 'What is a farmer’s son doing here? What am I doing here?’ It was a real case of imposter syndrome."
