A Place in the Sun came to a sudden halt as one couple refused to look around the rest of a property

On Tuesday's episode (June 11) of the Channel 4 show, host Laura Hamilton found herself in difficulty as property seekers Bob and Vida expressed strong disappointment with a house on Greece's Peloponnese Coast.

The couple, desperate to find their dream retirement home within their generous budget of £410,000, quickly turned down an ultra-modern residence priced over their budget at £436,271.

For Vida, the property's location right along a bustling road made it a firm "no". Despite Laura's efforts to sell the ready-to-move-in interiors and awe-inspiring vista views, Vida was resolute.

Her disapproval remained unswayed even when Laura teased them not getting carried away by the landscape, stating: "you're not allowed" to look just yet.

However, their viewing was terminated prematurely before they could fully explore the property as Bob decided to cut their visit short.

"It would be a waste of time because we don't like the location," he told the 42-year-old. Unfazed, Laura maintained her professional spirit, accepting their decision and vowing to continue hunting for the ideal location, reports the Mirror.

She said: "That's that which seems a great shame but if it's not in the right location then there's nothing I can do about that."

The house hunt was a tough journey, with Bob and Vida finding little they liked until the final search. They made their last stop at the fifth property, which was priced just north of £325,000.

Not ready to back down, the duo put in a bold offer at £295,000. Their spirits soared when their revised bid of £302,500 was accepted, securing them their new home.

It comes after Laura announced a new venture away from A Place in the Sun. The property expert shared a lengthy statement on social media, detailing how she has been renovating a home for the past two years.

Despite not originally planning to sell the property, Laura admitted the time came to say goodbye to the "wonderful" home.

Laura signed off the post: "Of course another project is on the horizon & I really hope you will come along on the ride with us."
