As Olympic fever heats up, we are excited to watch the world's best athletes put it all on the line. We also are inspired by this incredible ad from Toyota North America, lifting up the village that supports these athletes. Wouldn't it be amazing if survivors felt like they had a similar village of support and didn't have to take their journey alone? https://lnkd.in/eASStzzT #TruthfulThursday #olympicfever #toyotaad #nojourneyistakenalone

What a month April was ... As Brave Step embarked on its second annual "Color It Blue" campaign for Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month, we were able to reach more than 52,000 people with the Color It Blue message. The ultimate goal was to initiate new conversations about this pervasive issue and ultimately prevent future sexual violence. Join in our campaign celebration and ongoing fight to educate and empower everyone impacted by sexual violence.

We are thrilled to welcome Ezra Vizcarra to the Brave Step team as a clinical intern. Ezra shared his thoughts at the start of this new journey. "My journey has been all about serving people with love and respect. "Loving and Respectful to all. If you're going to be anything, be efficiently awesome." That's a motto I live by every day. Currently, I'm an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician), working closely with children. Graduating soon from Brigham Young University - Idaho with a B.S. in Marriage and Family Studies, I'm passionate about being of help and striving to better understand various situations. Outside of work and studies, you'll find me immersed in the outdoors. Hiking, camping, and hammocking are my go-to activities, rain or shine. I've explored countless states through cross-country drives, finding joy in the journey itself. Computers also hold a special fascination for me, so if I don't find myself out there, well I find myself near a computer. Whether it's tinkering with hardware or understanding network systems, I'm always eager to dive into the world of algorithms and real-world applications. Can't wait to make a positive impact in the Charlotte community alongside the Brave Step team!" Please help us welcome Ezra to the team!
