BGE, Sunrun, and Ford Motor Company have partnered to launch the nation’s first program that enables electric vehicle owners to power their home from their vehicle’s battery in parallel with the electric grid. Using customers’ Ford F-150 Lightning trucks with Sunrun Home Integration Systems, the vehicle-to-home pilot initiative targets BGE electric system peak hours, discharging the EV truck’s battery to reduce peak energy use, reduce air pollution, and lower electricity costs for customers who participate. http://spr.ly/6044ch7JM

BGE has awarded 32 non-profits over $249,000 to support environmental projects, totaling over $2.2 million in the 11-year history of the Green Grants program. Last week, rising 10th and 11th grade girls gathered at University of Maryland Baltimore County for The Exelon Foundation STEM Academy, a free, week-long program for young women to learn from business leaders and women working in STEM. Students spent the week attending hands-on activities, educational sessions, improving leadership and professional skills, and tackling a group challenge. #WomenInSTEM
