Today we welcomed US Senator Tina Smith to visit several of the 2023 Hopkins Climate Solutions Fund completed projects. The projects included residential solar, multifamily solar, and a residential heat pump. Leveraging electric utility rebates and federal incentives, including the Inflation Reduction Act, the Hopkins Climate Solution Fund helps to reduce upfront costs associated with replacing energy equipment and installing renewable energy systems. U.S. Senator Smith contributed to the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which was signed into law in 2022. Applications for the 2024 funding round are open now through June 28th: https://lnkd.in/g7jZUEVz

In partnership with Hennepin County Active Living, the City of Hopkins is excited to invite qualified businesses to submit a proposal to provide consulting services for the development of an End-of-Trip Facilities Plan to accommodate parking needs for the emerging diversity of active modes of transportation. This plan should bring an innovative and knowledgeable approach to improving access to high quality end-of-trip facilities in Downtown Hopkins and at Hopkins’s three METRO Green Line Extension LRT station areas.
