The City of Golden Valley is seeking proposals to create a Community Response and Crisis Intervention Model as part of a Pohlad Family Foundation Reimaging Public Safety grant. The grant sought proposals from governments in the seven-county Twin Cities metro area to achieve three goals: • innovate and transform traditional approaches to public safety • reduce the occurrence and severity of negative encounters between law enforcement and the community • actively confront racial disparities and history of racism to improve safety, trust, and greater wellbeing among Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) If you’re interested in learning more, the City will host an information session Tuesday, Feb 6, 6:30–7:30 pm, at Brookview Golden Valley (316 Brookview Pwky S).
