Meet Dexcom’s newest Warrior: Lance Bass, American actor, singer, and producer best known as a member of *NSYNC.   Lance was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes a few years ago. Using his #DexcomG7, he was able to see how unpredictable his glucose levels were and raised these concerns with his doctor. Additional tests revealed that Lance was misdiagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, and he was properly diagnosed with Type 1.5 or latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA), which is when the pancreas slowly stops making insulin in adulthood.   By becoming a Dexcom Warrior, Lance is hoping to inspire others to advocate for themselves and take control of their health.   Lance recently opened up about his misdiagnosis for the first time with Yahoo Life. June 19, 1865, commemorated as Juneteenth, is a historic day marking the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. Recognizing Juneteenth globally is crucial to acknowledging and reflecting on a significant period in history that continues to shape equality and freedom. At Dexcom, we are committed to building a more just and inclusive culture. One example, our management team recently came together to participate in the National Civil Rights Museum's immersive training experience presented by the museum’s Corporate Equity Center. The visit served as an important reminder of where we’ve been and where we need to go to create a more inclusive and equitable future. 

On June 9, we hosted the first-ever Dexcom U Sports Camp. Dexcom U is the only NIL (name, image and likeness) program for college athletes with diabetes that provides a platform to inspire and empower the next generation of athletes with diabetes. The camp brought every corner of our Warrior program together – from Dexcom U athletes to professional and aspiring young athletes – for a jam-packed day that showed the next generation of athletes that they can pursue their passions without diabetes holding them back.
