PEO Digital wrapped up its first-ever Enterprise IT Strategy Summit in Washington, D.C. on August 27-28! We were thrilled to bring together more than 200 DON leaders and IT practitioners from across the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps to drive the future of Enterprise IT. We spent the two days highlighting and conducting retrospectives on FY24 accomplishments, sharing and prioritizing FY25 objectives, and gearing up for POM-27 (yes, it’s time!). In total we engaged in nine interactive activities and collected more than 400 data points! PEO Digital’s refreshed strategy centers on “delivering a world-class digital experience at the speed of mission” across four critical solution areas: · Digital Workplace – how you connect your data and collaborate with your teams · Cybersecurity and IT Lifecycle – our continuously improving DevSecOps practices · IT Platforms – where we enable the data science community and software developers · IT Infrastructure – the diverse, resilient, and ubiquitous transport that makes it all go! This is something new for us in PEO Digital – as well as all our attendees! Although we didn’t know how it would go, it really exceeded expectations, and we’re full of ways to make Summit #2 even more valuable and productive. The Neptune Cloud Management Office (CMO) successfully onboarded the first mission owner into its Flank Speed Azure IL6 environment, with a second mission owner nearing completion as well! 🚀 Since its initial ATO in July, our Cloud Concierge Team has received 15 engagement requests through the Neptune portal and the number of mission owners in the pipeline continues to grow. This newly accredited environment delivers fast access to sensitive, mission-critical information while maintaining the security and integrity of classified workloads. The expansion of secure cloud environments increases the Department’s ability to provide access to critical data, collaborate across geographies, and save money and time through enhanced business operations.
