GILLIG was honored to welcome top officials from the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) and representatives from state and local government for a tour of our Livermore, CA facility and a roundtable discussion. The visit included esteemed leaders like APTA President & CEO Paul Skoutelas, APTA Chair Michele Wong-Krause, Chair of the Bus Manufacturing Task Force and President of the Chicago Transit Authority Dorval R. Carter, Jr., City of Livermore Mayor John Marchand, and officials representing Senator Laphonza Butler and Congressman Eric Swalwell. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing plant tour showcased our dedication to producing American-built, high-quality, and reliable transit buses. The subsequent roundtable discussion focused on the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the current state of American public transit, and GILLIG's leadership in zero-emissions solutions. This visit underscored the critical role GILLIG plays in advancing public transportation and supporting economic growth.
