The event was officiated by Ms. Lu Xinning, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR, and a speech was delivered by Mr. Paul Lam Ting-kwok, SBS, SC, JP, Secretary for Justice of the HKSAR Government. In his address, Mr. Paul Lam, expressed the hope that HK01 can set a good example for the journalism sector, and assist in building Hong Kong into a more diverse, vibrant, colorful and dazzling society. In particular, Hong Kong's rankings in "Business efficiency" and "Infrastructure" have seen significant improvements, placing them among the top 10 globally. The report assessed the global competitiveness of 67 countries and regions. Singapore has risen from the 4th to the 1st position, while Switzerland, Denmark, and Ireland rank 2nd to 4th respectively. Mainland China has jumped 7 places to rank 14th, and the United States is ranked 12th. Mr. Jun Cao, Director of Banking Business Unit at Tencent Cloud at Tencent, was invited to deliver a keynote speech, sharing the nationalization process and experience of the domestic banking industry. In addition, the event allowed nearly a hundred participating Corporate Executives to exchange ideas on how to drive digital transformation by leveraging innovative technologies and best prepare for the new opportunities.
