Last Friday, I had the pleasure of joining MIT Climate and Energy Prize for their final pitch competition. It was great getting the chance to meet all the semi-finalists (👋 AeroFlux,Wankel Energy Systems, Agteria Biotech, Ekidos Agrivoltaics, Conflux Purification, Helix Carbon, Vertical GaN, Andros, Philisa Energy, CAELUS, ParaStruct, Treeva, GPSolar,SeaMind AI, Oxylus Energy, Strobe Power, Silo Energy, and ThreadMap)! A huge shoutout to Helix Carbon for winning the grand prize award, Andros for the runner-up prize, and Agteria Biotech for the third-place prize — incredibly well deserved! A few weeks back, I also had the opportunity to present a workshop on early-stage hiring best practices for all the semifinalists. Last Friday, we had the Grand Final of the MIT Climate and Energy Prize, where the top 8 climate-tech startups competed for the ultimate $100K non-dilutive cash prize. Hats off to the great student entrepreneurs who presented their groundbreaking technology and business, and, among others, huge congrats to Helix Carbon for taking home the $100K!
