It’s #backtoschool week for our Chicago and Massachusetts schools! 🥳📚 We asked a few of our OneGoal teachers aka Program Directors in Chicago what they’re most looking forward to this year and this is what what they said! 🎓

“Even though he barely knew me outside the classroom and saw my lack of interest or effort initially, he somehow knew I had the potential to really push myself further.” Caleb, a OneGoal alumni, reflects on his experience, in particular the teacher who recruited him to join OneGoal in high school. Through the program, Caleb raised his GPA and ACT scores and applied to college. His hard work paid off – Caleb was not only accepted to a four-year university, but was later recognized for overcoming his challenges in a speech by then-President Obama. The formerly struggling student, who never saw college as a reality, now has a degree in biochemistry and a doctorate of pharmacy. OneGoal launched in New York with a cohort of 200 high school juniors in 2015 and has grown to serve over 1,420 students in the region.
