Schools are having a hard time finding and keeping good STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) teachers. The pay isn’t great, and other jobs in STEM fields offer better pay. To help, we at STEM NOLA and STEM Global Action are doing amazing work by getting students excited about STEM careers through fun activities and hands-on learning. Schools are trying new ways to fill the gaps, like sharing teachers between schools and working with local businesses. For example, five Texas schools are teaming up to offer cool STEM classes. With support from businesses and universities, schools hope to get more students interested in STEM and have better teachers.
