Chief Economic Development Officer- Working to advance one of the most vibrant and business friendly communities in the county
One of the things I really appreciate about our team at Williamson, Inc. is that no one treats their commitment to advance and support our community as just an 8-5 job. For example, just this week: Matt Largen learned that he will have an opportunity to serve our state as a member of Leadership Tennessee’s Class XI. Kel McDowell graduated from Leadership Middle Tennessee, Inc.. Jena Brooke Potter was recognized for her innovative leadership by receiving the Trailblazer Award from the Rotary Club of Downtown Franklin. I’m proud of my colleagues for continually going above and beyond to support our community and our state. #leadership #tennessee

We are pleased to announce that our President and CEO, Matt Largen, has been selected to join the upcoming class of Leadership Tennessee. Leadership Tennessee is a program that fosters collaborative, non-partisan dialogue on key state issues. It connects and mobilizes a network of diverse leaders and engaged citizens, all working towards addressing important topics for Tennessee's future. Matt’s participation in this program will bring valuable insights and foster new opportunities for Williamson County alongside further collaboration across the state. https://lnkd.in/esVFrDfv

Reflecting on one of my favorite moments with Williamson, Inc. – Friday, May 31 edition of Policy Talks with Rep. COL(Ret) Sam Whitson and Rep. Darren Jernigan. Their across-the-aisle friendship, lighthearted conversation, and lessons learned made for a wonderful hour amid our current political environment. Many thanks to, among others, our panelists, Williamson Herald for the recap, and WCTV for recording the program (https://lnkd.in/e5HfbRgK).

Yesterday, we hosted a Women in Business Mixer at The Board Room Wine and Charcuterie Bar. What does this mean? It means that small business owner Cynthia Peraza had the opportunity to share her dream of providing an elevated space for memories and connection to 150 community members. It also means those people have experienced her business and can tell their network. Remember, a referral is #SupportingSmallBusiness. We'd like to thank Signature Transportation Services for partnering on this event and to all the businesses below that donated door prizes for attendees.
