fine-tuned individual elements don’t seem to come together as you would have hoped. Horizon may well turn out to be an epic trilogy that reinvents the Western genre, but until the pay off occurs this is a long and often tedious prelude.

As a movie too loooong. Great scenery but could not follow to story line. It jumped from story to story and then time jumped and too a couple scenes to catch on. This will make for a good series rather than multiple movies.

I thought the cinematography, musical score, and the overall production was grand! I was a bit taken back by what seemed to be a rushed feeling that there was a lot of (story) film cut to get this part to around that 3-hour mark. There was one scene that went from the campfire, to in a tent, that felt like a big jump where a lot was just left out. Like many epic productions there just isn't enough time to get it all in. This should be a multi-part Streaming TV Mini-Series that can take it's time to tell everything Costner wanted to show us with this story, which I liked very much! There are 4 more parts and I hope Costner gets to take his time, so we can enjoy being engulfed by this embroiled sage.
