Is this restaurant related to the Papito in Potrero?
A:
no. they were opened originally by the same owner, but they were both sold off to different operators and have no connection other than the name.

Absolutely amazing food coupled with phenomenal service. I came in with my family -- a party of 10 -- and were served incredibly quick and the food was so yummy. The chicken fajitas are my absolute fave. I bring every single friend to this place and it never disappoints. Huge thank you to RAUL and JULIA for their hardwork!

I've been coming to Papito frequently during the last couple of years. Everything I've ordered has been delicious, but the enchiladas are the star attraction. Recommend the carnitas! The drinks are really great too, I love their margaritas and sangria. The service is attentive and friendly. Highly recommend for when you're in Hayes Valley!

Thanks for the 4 star review John, we will definitely work on the details to improve.
David ASep 16, 2021Previous reviewOn my first visit, I had a margarita and enchiladas carnitas: both were pretty good (4/5). The enchiladas had great flavors and texture. However, the food temperature was barely warm; it seems to have sat at room temperature for quite a while before being served. The service can certainly improve: I waited at a table 11 minutes before being served, and there was a customer who came after my arrival who was served well before me. The staff is really focused but isn't friendly or personable. The prices are reasonable for San Francisco. First impression of Papito Hayes: pretty good overall with definite room for improvement.

Delicious food. Very friendly service with speed and attention. And this place is within walking distance from my office. And it's clean and bright with cool art work.
I come here for a quick meal and for fresh air. They still have outside seating.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

The food, the service (most friendly staff) and atmosphere is always welcoming and wonderful! I always come back for their Papitos salad (with grilled chicken) and their pollo empanizado tacos and a mango margarita to top it off!

Went here late last night for a dinner with a few of my friends. Papito is always a staple and good place for great food and great drinks. We ordered for the table a regular margarita pitcher which roughly equal to about four drinks for the table. Service was really fast and we loved our waiter - he was very friendly and our food arrived promptly. I ordered the Molé enchiladas with chicken for myself - it was really good, I wish that there was a little more salt in spice to it. However if you do you like spicy food I would recommend ordering a habanero sauce for the table. It is very spicy.
Call Paula definitely visit again - if you're looking for a quick bite to eat, or did not have time to make reservations and want to eat in the Hayes Valley area, I would highly recommend this place to visit!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Aug 14, 2022
The service was nice and quick. The food didn't take long to come out. We came before 6pm on a Friday and didn't have to wait. By the time we finished dinner, there were people waiting outside to be seated at an open table.
We got the blood orange margarita pitcher for $40. It was easily split between four people.
I ordered the veggie quesadilla. It was $16, which was only a dollar or two less than the quesadillas that contained meat. It was fairly large. I got full from eating two of the three pieces. It was stuffed with cheese, peppers, mushrooms, and other veggies, and it was drizzled with some sauces on top. While it was far from a plain old quesadilla, I find it difficult to justify paying that much for a vegetarian quesadilla.
Still, I appreciate that they do have vegetarian options in most of the different sections of the menu. Most of the vegetarian options contain similar fillings.
Overall, nice ambiance, good veggie options, and solid drinks.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 8, 2022
A frequent place I visit where I'm guaranteed a good meal.
Papito has delicious Mexican food! I always get their trio of chips and salsa. They are crunchy and well salted chips with distinctly different salsas.
We tried the strawberry margarita which was yummy and tried the enchiladas and chicken fajitas which were tasty. The fajitas were a hefty portion of food coming with black beans, rice and tortillas which made it especially worth the price.
Service and ambience are lovely as usual and if I go early enough on a weekend I'm typically able to get seated fairly quickly.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Orawan S.San Francisco, CA5178307Oct 31, 2023
Stopped by this place on Sunday afternoon to get Ceviche and Tacos. (One with pork shoulder and another one with duck) Both are delicious and reasonable price. Got the outdoor table on the sunny day that makes nicer ambiance. Good service & my waitress was great and friendly. Recommended!!

This place is always popular so I decided to finally try it. We got a watermelon margarita which was the daily special. I shared a duck enchilada, sautéed shrimp taco, fried chicken taco.
The duck enchilada was too salty which was not offset by the cole slaw which was also too sweet. The shrimp taco was good overall but quite spicy.
The star of the meal was the fried chicken taco. The guacamole's creaminess really complemented the chicken.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information
