This place was alright. we waited in the really long line and got the sampler. Maybe we're not chowder people, but coming from Boston, this place didn't knock my socks off. It was also too crowded with minimal seating, but there's really not much they can so about that with the crowd they draw in.

Some of the best chowder I've ever had!
At first we were almost deterred by the long line but the aroma was so seductive we had to wait! We only had to wait for about 10 minutes to order since there service was so fast!!
I got the seafood bisque in a bread bowl and my partner got the lime curry and coconut in a bread bowl!
The seafood bisque was perfectly smooth, seasoned, and savory! I loved every single bite.
I had a small taste of the vegetarian/vegan chowder which is definitely a lighter and more refreshing option.
We walked away so satisfied! We will definitely have to stop back next time we are in the pike place market!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 22, 2024
This chowder place at Pike Place is a MUST-visit for anyone craving the best chowder in the area. I've picked up from here multiple times, and each visit has been a breeze with short wait times and efficient service.
While I've never had the opportunity to sit down and enjoy my meal there--seating is occasionally closed--it's never been an issue for me. The chowder is so good that it's worth it, even if you have to take it to go.
Rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, it's hands down the best chowder you can find at Pike Place. Also comes with a slice of bread!
You won't be disappointed!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 21, 2024
Rainy day in Seattle and was craving something warm for an early lunch! After reading the reviews, I decided to check out Pike Place Chowder. I got a small order of the Seafood Bisque and it was DELICIOUS!! Super creamy and came with a piece of sourdough to dip. I really like their ordering system because the food tastes fresh and is immediately handed to you.

There is definitely a reason that this is ranked so highly! We ordered a side of the classic new england chowder and it was gone in a minute. The broth has a nice seafood flavor without being overly salty. The soup was filled with some large pieces of clams and potatoes. It was the perfect pick for a cloudy day.
Although the line looks long, it would about 5-8 minutes to get our food - they also opened up a great mobile ordering pick up station for even less of a wait time,Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 19, 2023
Pike Place Chowder is a must when near the area! Classic claim chowder they serve is amazing alone, but on a cold day is essential!
Tip: Too avoid long lines order online and get your order in area pictured. The service is way faster this way!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dianne A.Hayward, CA73100438Aug 3, 20241 check-in
This one should be in everyone's Seattle bucket list! Their variety of clam chowder is crazy but if you can't decide you can always go for their clam chowder flight. Customers service is good and they're fast. Clam and oyster chowder is one of the best.

Wow wow WOW!!! One of the best New England clam chowders I've tried, and I'm from New England lol! It was highly related and I was skeptical since it's Seattle but it's no joke.
At all times of day, there is a long line. They tell you in line that you can order to-go online, on Yelp actually. I ended up doing that both times I tried it. I saw people in line for the bread bowl but I didn't need that. The seating is also small inside and outside under a tent. I didn't need the ambiance to experience chowder.
This chowder is legit. Creamy, hearty, loaded with salty bacon. It really hit the spot. I honestly don't mind ordering it to go and eat in a random corner haha
I would totally come here again. It's perfect on a rainy, cold day.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 9, 2024
We ordered the chowder sampler which came with New England Clam Chowder, Smoked Salmon Chowder, Crab & Oyster Chowder, and Seafood Bisque. Honestly, the NE clam chowder is probably the only one I would order again. I could see it hitting the spot on a cold and rainy Seattle day.
That being said, I've definitely had better clam chowder at many different places. This one is a bit to heavy with the cream and perhaps a tad salty. Still, when you are at Pike Place you must make this a stop!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Apr 17, 2024
After asking some locals for the best clam chowder spot, we were directed here, and what a find it was! We became utterly obsessed, visiting three days in a row because our daughter couldn't get enough of their Clam Chowder in the sourdough bowl. While I was keen to explore their other chowders, I found my ultimate favorite in the seared scallop chowder--absolutely divine with generous, succulent scallop chunks. We also indulged in their Maine and Connecticut lobster rolls, not to mention the rich and flavorful Dungeness Crab roll. The only downside was its small size; despite the long wait, the designated outdoor seating (where you must order first) was a welcome solution. Their no-saving-seats policy adds to the bustling atmosphere, albeit with some intriguing glances from fellow diners eyeing coveted spots with envy. Can't wait for our next visit!!
