Laptop maker Asus has expanded its Chromebook line-up this year with the latest CX1101 offering priced at Rs 19,990.

This can be ideal for users who need the Chrome OS or a good, affordable laptop. The Chromebook CX1101 has an all-plastic body that is rugged and highly durable.

It is a 180°fold-flat design and made using a Steel Galvanized Cold-Rolled Coil (SGCC) frame. The Chromebook, however, weighs only 1.24 kg and comes with a Transparent Silver colour option. It also has a spill-resistant keyboard, which is mounted on light steel plates that resist physical pressure.

Asus has also included a power button on the keyboard.

The Chromebook sports an 11.6-inch HD display with 1366x768 pixel resolution, which is best suitable for indoor use as its low brightness level makes it difficult to use under direct sunlight.

The laptop is powered by an Intel Celeron dual-core processor paired with 4GB RAM and up to 64GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB by installing a microSD card.

The device can handle routine tasks very well and is a great choice for students.

The operating system is Google’s Chrome OS and not the usual Windows, and works on the Chrome browser. It is easy to use and offers a neat, clean user interface.

It is backed by a 42Wh battery which delivers up to 11 hours of backup on a single charge.

The device offers a USB Type-C charging port, which means a smartphone charger is sufficient to boost battery levels.
