The latest movie Brahmastra has created a buzz all around the corner, and the Mumbai police have now taken a leaf out of it and tried to give an important traffic message to the public. The Instagram post got a special boost when Alia Bhatt herself shared and reacted to the post.

What is the message behind Mumbai Police’s memes on Brahmastra?

The Mumbai Police had shared two memes through its Instagram handle to promote road safety. The first meme in the mystical Astra movie refers to the Vanar Astra, a unique power that boosts the speed and agility of whoever possesses it. Mumbai Police sends a message through the image and says that even if you possess Vanas Astra, do not jump the signal.

The second image refers to the Nandi Astra, which gives the person the power of 100 bulls. The second message reads that even if you have Nandi Astra, do not use that strength on the accelerator. The two memes are collaged in a single image which is captioned as ‘Junoon’ & ‘Raftar’ can put your ‘Universe’ at risk,” a clever wordplay that refers to the villains of the movie Junoon (craziness) and Raftar (speed). The caption further reads that driving safe is the biggest 'Astra' (weapon) forever.

What was the reaction of Alia Bhatt to the Mumbai Police Brahmastra meme?

Alia Bhatt, who plays the role of Isha, Shiva’s (Ranbir Kapoor) love interest, screenshotted the same meme and re-posted it on her Instagram, writing ‘Epic’ with a laughing emoticon. Brahmastra, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in the lead roles, has grabbed around Rs. 248 crores worldwide. The film was released on September 9.

The film is written and directed by Ayan Mukherjee, while Pritam gives the music. The director is also known for superhit movies Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Wake Up Sid.
