This is also the last full Budget of the second term of the BJP-led NDA government ahead of the general elections in 2024.
Days after Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Budget 2023-2024, Amul India on Saturday shared a topical on the matter.

Cheering the cuts in personal income tax rates under the new taxation regime, Amul Topical showed their mascot dressed as Sitharaman, holding a plate with Amul butter.

"Everybody's favourite slab!" the text on the Amul Topical picture read.

There were also two desks in the picture with a laptop flashing the word "tax", calculator, notepad, plate full of sandwiches and the infamous red briefcase.

Well, Amul isn't the first one to address the income tax relief, which grabbed the major attention during the Union Budget 2023-2024 announcement.

Many on Twitter couldn't resist but share their reactions, some hilarious, on the new tax regime and rise in cigarette prices.

As the Finance Minister's long-awaited speech finally came to an end earlier this afternoon, the curiosity on the micro-blogging platform was quickly replaced with disappointing laughter as people took a dig at the Budget 2023.

Several people took to the micro-blogging platform to share hilarious reactions to the Union Budget 2023-2024 announced by the FM on Wednesday.

As some cheered Sitharaman’s announcement to exempt income tax to those who earn up to Rs 7 lakh annually, others shared memes over the finance minister’s announcement revealing the new tax regime will be the default one.

It is also being said that Sitharaman's budget 2023-24 proposal of taxing the maturity and surrender amount of non-ULIP policies (purchased after April 1, 2023, if the total premium paid by an individual under such polices is more than Rs 5 lakh in a year, is a step towards the new IT regime.

This was Sitharaman’s fifth full Budget after she took over as Finance Minister in July 2019. This is also the last full Budget of the second term of the BJP-led NDA government ahead of the general elections in 2024.
