    Founder Kamalraj Chandrasekaran on Cream Factory's new fusion ice creams

    Chandrasekaran shares what makes his fusion ice cream brand different from others.

    In 2015, when Kamalraj Chandrasekaran, Founder and Executive Director, Kamalraj Hospitality Concepts India Pvt Ltd started to experiment with the concept of fusion ice creams, his aim was to create sweet memories for its customers. Today, his Cream Factory is a premium handcrafted fusion ice cream brand that offers 100 per cent vegetarian fusion ice cream in an array of flavours. Chandrasekaran tells us more about the customer experience.

    How did you execute the idea of establishing a successful ice cream brand?

    I am a foodie and have travelled around the world, tasting and appreciating different cuisines. A lot of research and appreciation of different tastes reflects in our creation.

    How is Cream Factory different from other fusion ice cream brands?

    All our recipes are crafted with great love and affection for food by our happy staff, which looks forward to creating incredible ice cream memories for our customers. Cream Factory uses a cold stone to blend its sundaes. These ice cream blends are made specifically for our brand with less sugar and more cream, and are made 48 hours prior to use, with reduced freezing de-freezing cycles, which ensures freshness and creaminess.

    What are some of the must-try sundaes?

    We have ice cream sundaes for all age groups. Children love the Candy Man Sundae, which has all the candies a child could ask for. Sundaes like Fruit Exotica and Nuts Overload are highly recommended.

    What is your growth plan ?

    We are in the process of setting up our own state-of-the-art manufacturing unit for our base ice creams to be used exclusively for our premium blends. Mission 2020 is to have 50 exclusive stores with pan-India presence.

    You have recently started a range of milkshakes…

    Yes, Cream Factory recently launched its range of thick shakes in 12 flavours. Blended in a natural way using a slow mixing process, it retains the lip-smacking natural taste of fruits. The shakes are packed hygienically in eco-friendly handmade air-tight glass bottles. They come in quantities of 300 ml and 500 ml and priced at maximum Rs 150, which is the lowest compared to competing products. The shakes are also delivered to your doorstep through online orders.
