Fifa World Cup 2022: Female referee trio to officiate for the first time in a men's WC match
This FIFA World Cup 2022 is special for several reasons, including the fact that this may very well be the last world cup for many of our legendary footballers.

The World Cup 2022 being held in Qatar will go down in history for one more crucial reason: For the first time, there will be a female referee in a men's match. Yes, meet French referee Stéphanie Frappart, who will become the first woman referee to monitor a men's football match in history.

The Frenchwoman will create history on Thursday when she handles the Germany vs. Costa Rica FIFA World Cup match in Qatar.

Meanwhile, Neuza Back of Brazil and Mexico’s Karen Diaz Medina — will be the assistants to Frappart and complete an all-female refereeing team on the field.

The fourth woman match official FIFA picked for this World Cup, Kathryn Nesbitt of the United States, will also be working at the Al Bayt Stadium as the offside specialist in the video review team.

So needless to say that this puts more pressure on the women as they need to monitor each and every minor detail on the field, delivering top level of refereeing.
