For season 2, Jaideep Ahlawat and Ishwak Singh will return to portray Inspector Hathiram Chaudhary and cop Ansari, respectively. According to reports, Jahnu Barua, Tillotama Shome, Nagesh Kukunoor, Gul Panag, and Anurag Arora are also set to join the cast of Paatal Lok season 2.

About ‘Pataal Lok’

‘Paatal Lok’ is about a disillusioned cop (a brilliant Jaideep Ahlawat) who suddenly finds himself in charge of a high-profile case, involving an assassination attempt on a journalist.

As Hathi Ram delves further into the inquiry, he uncovers an intricate network of conspiracy, corruption, and deceit that spans from the highest echelons of power to the impoverished slums of the city. The story then unfolds from various viewpoints, shedding light on the diverse lives of characters across different social classes.

Sanjeev Mehra, the journalist targeted in the assassination attempt, grapples with his inner struggles as he navigates the realm of media politics. Hathoda Tyagi, a merciless assassin from rural areas, finds himself entangled in the conspiracy due to his tragic circumstances. Meanwhile, Dolly Mehra, Sanjeev's wife, confronts the harsh realities of her privileged upbringing as she confronts the darkness lurking beneath the surface.

Hathi Ram eventually delves into the three realms of existence in Hindu mythology: Swarg Lok (heaven), Dharti Lok (earth), and Paatal Lok (hell) reflecting the societal hierarchy and the depths of human depravity.
