    Redmi K50 series, Redmi K50 Gaming Edition: Price and specs, what we know so far

    Redmi is gearing up to launch its K50 series in India. The subsidiary of Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is expected to launch Redmi K50, K50 Pro, K50 Pro+ in India towards the end of February.

    However, ahead of the official launch, the brand has revealed that it will launch its Redmi K50 Gaming edition soon. Although the brand is yet to reveal details about the specifications of the smartphone, tipsters have leaked the pricing and certain specifications of the upcoming K50 series.

    While the General Manager of Redmi Lu Weibing had revealed on Weibo that the brand was gearing up to launch its first flagship series the K 50 series, there have been several reports suggesting that the brand may unveil the K50 Gaming Edition much before the K50 lineup. Redmi is yet to reveal the official launch date of its lineup.

    The Redmi K50 edition is likely to be launched in China first. The smartphone is expected to sport the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Soc and the mighty ultra-widened CyberEngine haptic engine. According to tipster Sam on Twitter, the K50 Gaming edition is likely to be priced at CNY 3,499 which roughly translates to Rs 41,300.

    The Redmi K50 could be CNY 1,999 (about Rs 23,600), K50 Pro is likely to pr priced at CNY 2,699 amounting to Rs 31,900, and K50 Pro+ is likely to be priced at CNY 3,299 (about Rs 38,900). Recently all three models were spotted on a Chinese certification website. While Redmi K50 will reportedly be powered by Snapdragon 870 SoC, Redmi K50 Pro will have MediaTek Dimensity 8000 and Redmi K50 Pro+ will likely have MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoCs.
