    Pune police issues traffic advisory in view of PM Modi's rally. Check traffic tips, alternative routes, and parking plans

    The Pune Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally at Race Course on April 29, 2024, at 5 pm.

    Traffic Changes:

    • There will be traffic diversions for all vehicles on certain roads from 4 pm to 9 pm on April 29.
    • Traffic will flow both ways from Paani Taaki to Turf Club Chowk in the race course area.
    • The road from Turf Club main entrance to Turf Club Chowk will be closed.
    • Similarly, roads from Arjun Road Junction to Turf Club main entrance and from Bishop School Circle to Turf Club Chowk will be closed.
    Alternative Routes:

    • Motorists can use alternate routes from Mammadevi Junction and Beur Road Junction.
    • Golibar Maidan to Bhairoba Nala (Solapur Road) - Alternate route: Golibar Maidan Chowk, Lullanagar.
    • Bhairoba Nala to Golibar Maidan Chowk (Solapur Road) - Alternate route: Bhairoba Nala to Lullanagar.
    • Mor Odha to Bhairoba Nala (Empress Garden Road) - Alternate route: Mor Odha to Ghorpadi Railway Gate to B.T. Kavade Road.
    Traffic Advice:

    • Slowdowns are expected at Golibar Maidan, Mammadevi Chowk, Bhairoba Nala Chowk, and other locations.
    • Motorists should consider using alternative routes such as Nagar Road, Poultry Farm Chowk to Sangamwadi, or Solapur Road to Jedhe Chowk, Lullanagar, Gangadham Chowk, and Satara Road.
    Parking Arrangements:

    • Parking areas are designated from Bhairoba Nala to Wanowrie Bazar Police Chowki Chowk, up to Wanowrie Bazar to Mammadevi Junction.
    • Additional parking is provided for vehicles from Pune-Ahmednagar and Pimpri Chinchwad, and for those from Pune-Satara, Sinhagad, and Swargate areas.
    Heavy Vehicle Movement:

    • Heavy vehicle movement within the city is restricted.
    • Entry of heavy vehicles is prohibited at various checkpoints, including Theur Phata, Mantarwadi Phata, Khadi Machine Chowk, Katraj Chowk, and others.
