    Elon Musk
Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, chastised Boeing CEO David Calhoun on Tuesday. In a post on X, Musk said that aircraft manufacturers had lost sight of its engineering core. He stated that he should be able to design aircraft, not spreadsheets. Calhoun, who graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in accounting, announced his retirement despite continued problems such as the Boeing 737 Max 9 door plug breaking in midair. This caused discussions about whether Boeing should give preference to a candidate with engineering experience for its next CEO within the aviation sector, as reported by 'Yahoo News.'

Concerns about leadership and operational difficulties

    Law and regulation concerns
The Department of Justice accused Boeing of breaking a settlement linked to two of its 737 Max 8 aircraft crashes that claimed 346 lives between 2018 and 2019, and as a result, the company might face criminal charges. In addition, a criminal investigation into the corporation is ongoing due to an incident that involves Alaska Airlines.

SpaceX and Boeing in Space Research
Boeing has come under criticism from Elon Musk in the past for having an excessive number of non-technical managers. In 2014, SpaceX was awarded a NASA contract for $2.6 billion, while Boeing was awarded a contract worth $4.2 billion. However, SpaceX outperformed Boeing in 2020 when it flew its first crewed flight to the International Space Station (ISS).

    Difficulties with the Boeing Starliner
Boeing's Starliner spacecraft is still having problems. The $1.5 billion spacecraft's return from the International Space Station has been perpetually postponed due to issues, including five helium leaks.

When contacted outside of regular business hours for comment, Boeing did not immediately respond, as per the reports of Yahoo News.
