Dr Manimoy Bandopadhyay, director of SSKM Hospital, says, "Chief Minister of West Bengal reported to our hospital today around 07:30 pm with a history of fall within the vicinity of her home due to some push from behind. She had a cerebral concussion and had a sharp cut over her forehead and nose which was bleeding profusely. Initially, she was assessed by HoD neurosurgery, HoD medicine and the cardiologist of our institute and is vital so had stabilized. Three stitches were applied on the forehead and one on the nose and the required dressing was done. Investigations like ECG, CT scan, etc were done. Medical personnel have provided their opinion in these regards. She was advised to remain admitted for observation, but she preferred to go home. She will continue to be under close watch and will continue to have the treatment as per the advice of the team of doctors. She will again be assessed tomorrow and subsequent treatment will be decided accordingly..."

The Telangana Government decided to conduct a TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) before the DSC examination to fill the teacher posts. The government has already issued notification for the recruitment of 11,062 teacher posts on February 29th. The government responded positively to the requests from the candidates to conduct the TET once again as the teachers' eligibility exam is mandatory to appear for the DSC exam. The Commissioner of School Education has been asked to conduct the TET at the earliest

National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has today granted approval to One97 Communications Limited (OCL) to participate in UPI as a Third-Party Application Provider (TPAP) under multi-bank model. Four banks (Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India, YES Bank) shall act as PSP (Payment System Provider) banks to OCL. YES Bank shall also be acting as merchant acquiring bank for existing and new UPI merchants for OCL. “Paytm” handle shall be redirected to YES Bank. This will enable existing users and merchants to continue to do UPI transactions and AutoPay mandates in a seamless and uninterrupted manner.

- The government today moved the Delhi High Court challenging a foreign arbitration award that Vedanta Ltd won against the former’s demand for a higher payout from its Rajasthan oil and gas fields.
- The Award, the govt claimed, is in conflict with the public policy of India.
- The total short-paid GoI Profit Petroleum was USD 1,162 million (which is 70% of total dues ofUSD 1,660 million) up to May 14, 2020 (excluding interest), according to the govt.
- The dispute between the Directorate of Hydrocarbons and Vedanta and Cairn arose on account of incorrect cost recovery and non-allocation of common costs, having a huge adverse financial implication on the Profit Oil/Gas payable to the government, the petition stated.
