Acer group forays into consumer electronics; eyes $100 million in sales

Acer plans to manufacture and export appliances from India. The company is forming AcerPure to sell consumer appliances like water purifiers and refrigerators. It has acquired the preferential market access certification and is expanding into after-sales services through a subsidiary called High Point.
