    Tata Motors has launched the Altroz Racer, a premium hatchback with race car-inspired aesthetics, priced at Rs 9.49 lakh. The Altroz is the first hatchback in India to earn the 5 Star Global NCAP Safety rating. The top-tier version of the Altroz features a 360-degree camera, a 26.03 cm infotainment touchscreen, ventilated seats, and six standard airbags.

    Tata Motors has reduced prices on various electric vehicle (EV) models by up to Rs 1.2 lakh, passing on the benefits of reduced battery prices to customers. The Nexon EV now starts at Rs 14.5 lakh, and the Tiago will be sold from Rs 7.99 lakh. However, the prices of the recently launched Punch EV remain unchanged.

    Tata Motors expects the Indian electric vehicle (EV) industry sales growth to moderate to 40-45% this year, with the base becoming larger. The company, which launched Punch.ev, plans to introduce four more EV models this year and expects to grow faster than the industry EV growth rate. The company's Managing Director, Shailesh Chandra, said that EV penetration in the company's overall sales is between 12 to 15%.

    In an interaction with PTI, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Managing Director Shailesh Chandra said the automaker retailed around 53,000 units in November, which was 8 per cent higher as compared to October this year and 30 per cent up as compared to sales in November 2022.
