    Meet Anasuya Sengupta: The first Indian actor to win Best Actress at Cannes who once worked as production designer

    Anasuya Sengupta, originally from Kolkata, has become the first Indian actress to win the Best Actress award at Cannes for her role in the film The Shameless. Initially pursuing a career in journalism and production design, Anasuya felt creatively stifled in Mumbai and moved to Goa for a fresh start. Her breakthrough came when director Konstantin Bojanov invited her to audition for his film through Facebook.
