    The bodies were recovered along the Maharashtra coast by teams of Indian Navy and the Indian Coast Guard, and their identification was under process with the local authorities and ONGC, said officials.

    ​​The list of those missing may get a lot shorter if it is confirmed that the 14 bodies recovered along the Maharashtra and Gujarat coasts in the last few days are those of the barge and tugboat personnel, an official said.

    While Indian Navy, Coast Guard, ONGC teams and private contractor Afcons are putting in all efforts to locate the missing personnel through sea vessels and aerial search, the state-owned firm has extended an immediate relief of Rs 1 lakh to the survivors and Rs 2 lakh to the deceased and missing persons' families, company officials said.
