    Air India cancels scheduled flight for Indian cricket team charter

    Air India used a Boeing 777 meant for a US-India flight to ferry the Indian cricket team from Barbados, triggering concern from regulators. The charter flight, organised by the BCCI, departed Bridgetown for Delhi. The DGCA is investigating as rules prohibit disrupting scheduled flights for charters. Air India allegedly cancelled a Newark-Delhi flight, causing passenger inconvenience. Charters are lucrative for airlines and were vital due to a hurricane stranding the cricket team.

    Copenhagen-Delhi flight on Jun 30 cancelled due to operational, tech reasons: Air India

    Air India's flight from Copenhagen to Delhi on June 30 was cancelled due to technical and operational reasons, leaving passengers stranded in Copenhagen. The airline assured that efforts were made to minimise inconvenience, with passengers being accommodated in hotels and offered full refund or rescheduling options. The revised schedule will be announced soon.

    Boeing flight hits turbulence flying over the Atlantic Ocean; over 30 injured

    A Boeing flight which was being operated by Air Europa ran into air turbulence due to which more than 30 people have been injured. This is yet another incident in this year due to which air passengers are being impacted due to turbulence.

    IndiGo cancels nearly 90 flights as disruptions continue in Delhi

    IndiGo, the largest airline from Delhi airport's Terminal 1, has cancelled around 90 flights due to a roof collapse. SpiceJet's flights have been diverted to Terminals 2 and 3, but the number of SpiceJet flights shifted to these terminals is unknown. The airport's roof collapsed during heavy rains, causing at least one death and six injuries. The Indian Institute of Technology and the GMR group have set up committees to investigate the incident.

    Delhi airport T1 shutdown: Over 20 flights cancelled on Saturday

    Following the roof collapse incident, the operations at T1 were suspended on Friday. The flights that were to be operated from the terminal have been shifted to Terminal 2 (T2) and Terminal 3 (T3). On Friday, Delhi airport operator DIAL said it has set up a technical committee to probe the roof collapse at the airport's Terminal 1.
