    Heavy rain forecast for parts of Andhra Pradesh from June 26 to 28

    The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted heavy rains with lightning in parts of Andhra Pradesh from June 26 to 28. North Coastal Andhra Pradesh (NCAP), Yanam, and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh (SCAP) are expected to experience significant downpour. Thunderstorms are forecasted for NCAP, Yanam, SCAP, and Rayalaseema from June 26 to 30, with gusty winds up to 50 km/h. A cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal is influencing the weather. The northern limit of the monsoon passes through several regions, with south-westerly and westerly winds prevailing over Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.

    Taiwan detects 15 Chinese military aircraft, 6 naval ships around nation

    The Ministry of National Defense reported 15 Chinese military aircraft and six naval vessels near Taiwan over the weekend. Eight aircraft crossed the Taiwan Strait median line into Taiwan's air defense identification zone. Taiwan responded by deploying aircraft, naval ships, and coastal missile systems to monitor the activity. This adds to a pattern of increased Chinese military presence around Taiwan, with 301 aircraft and 183 naval/coast guard vessels tracked this month alone. China's actions are part of its strategy to assert sovereignty over Taiwan.

    The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) has issued a red alert for coastal Karnataka due to expected extremely heavy rainfall on June 22, with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds predicted at isolated places statewide. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts heavy to very heavy rains in coastal and adjacent districts of interior Karnataka between June 21 and June 25, with potential for widespread rainfall and landslides.

    Rain lashes several parts of Mumbai; IMD issues yellow alert

    The temperature in Mumbai was recorded at 28.65 degrees Celsius today. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 33 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees respectively for the next two days. It has also been predicted that light to moderate rain will continue the whole day in the city on Wednesday.

The 'Kallakkadal' phenomenon is expected to occur from 2:30 am on Saturday to 11:30 pm on Sunday, with the possibility of extremely strong waves, rough seas, and sea incursion during this period.
