Two killed in Gurugram fireball manufacturing factory explosion
Two people were killed in an explosion at a fireball manufacturing factory in Gurugram's Daulatabad Industrial Area. The incident occurred late at night on Friday, prompting the deployment of 24 fire tenders that managed to bring the fire under control. At least three to four individuals were injured and taken to the hospital. Nearby buildings suffered damage.
BRS MP injured in stabbing during election campaign
K. Prabhakar Reddy, a Member of Parliament (MP) from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the party's candidate for the upcoming Assembly election next month, was wounded in a knife assault while campaigning in the Siddipet district on Monday. Ajanta, Ellora caves and other prominent tourist attractions reopen; online tickets, vaccination must for visitors
While there is no restriction on the number of visitors as of now, physical tickets will not be available and only those who have taken both the doses of vaccine against COVID-19 will be allowed to enter the tourist sites, the ASI official said. Apart from the Ajanta and Ellora caves, the other prominent tourist attractions are the Daulatabad (Devgiri) Fort, Aurangabad caves and Bibi ka Maqbara.
Monuments reopen, but people not too keen to visit iconic sites
The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), which reopened the over 3,000 monuments under its control in the country to the public from June 16, has not capped the number of visitors and has allowed only online booking of tickets. However, officials say the local authorities in Agra have capped the daily number to 15,000 as a precaution.
