Puravankara acquires 12.75-acre land parcel on Thane’s Ghodbunder Road
Realty developer Puravankara's subsidiary, Purva Oak, acquired 12.75 acres in Thane's Patlipada for a premium residential project with an estimated potential of 18.20 lakh sq ft. The project, adding to Mumbai Metropolitan Region portfolio, has a potential gross development value of Rs 4,000 crores. Puravankara aims for strategic expansion and increased revenue contribution in the western region.

Mumbai man murders wife's boyfriend, buries body in Thane forest
As per Mumbai police, a man reportedly murdered a 38-year-old man, who was allegedly involved with his wife, in Mumbai. He then proceeded to bury the body in a forest located in the nearby Thane district. The incident occurred on June 1, and the body was discovered on Tuesday. The accused has been taken into custody by the authorities. "The deceased, identified as Dinesh Prajapati, allegedly had an extra-marital affair with the wife of accused Suresh Kumar Kumavat, all residents of Rajendra Nagar locality in suburban Borivali," an official from Samta Nagar police station said.
Government-backed SWAMIH Fund invests over Rs 158 crore in Thane housing project
The SWAMIH I platform has invested INR 158.5 crore ($21.5m) in a mixed-use development on Thane's Ghodbunder Road. Developed by Shriraam Pioneer Developers, the Pushpanjali Residency Phase 3 project consists of seven towers with over 1,076 units. The funding will help complete the construction of the first four towers, with homebuyers expected to take position of their properties by December. SWAMIH has so far aided in the completion of 20,557 homes and hopes to complete more than 81,000 homes across 130 projects in the next three years.
