    Hero Future Energies gets shortlisted for Bhubaneswar Hydrogen Valley project

    Hero Future Energies (HFE), the renewable energy arm of the Hero Group, has been selected as a consortia partner for the Bhubaneswar Hydrogen Valley Innovation Cluster (HVIC). Operating as the industry partner for IIT-Bhubaneswar, HFE will focus on green hydrogen production for steel and mobility sectors through electrolyser technology.

    According to a press release issued by the organising chairperson, IIT Madras, out of the total qualified candidates, 7964 are female and 40284 are male. Total number of qualified general candidates is 14319 and that of qualified general (economically weaker sections) candidates is 5508. A total of 9499 OBC-NCL have qualified, as have 13835 SC candidates and 5087 ST candidates.

    The panel noted that the IITs have attributed the delay in construction of buildings to time taken for finalisation of designs, obtaining regulatory clearances, statutory approval, shortage of labour and remoteness of area. It also said an audit observed that the IITs have been recruiting faculty consistently. However, the pace of recruitment of faculty did not correspond to the student intake or enrolment, resulting in vacancies in faculty positions, the committee said.
