    Was New Jeans founder Min Heejin ‘inspired’ by this popular Mexican girl group?

    New Jeans founder Min Heejin finds herself embroiled in yet another controversy. The CEO of ADOR, who has recently been making headlines for her highly publicized feud with K-Pop powerhouse HYBE, alleging plagiarism of New Jeans' concept for their new girl group ILLIT, now faces scrutiny from eagle-eyed netizens. They have highlighted striking similarities between New Jeans and a popular '90s Mexican girl group called Jeans.

    The parents further claimed that the creation of a new girl group - ILLIT with a similar aesthetic just 20 months after their debut significantly damaged the brand value of New Jeans. They also alleged that HYBE CEO Bang Si Hyuk would ignore members whenever they approached him. The letter was first sent to ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin.

    Heejin had sought advice from the shaman on matters including company restructuring, recruitment of new employees, and more. The shaman had pledged to support her for three years and assured her that she would eventually take control of ADOR. HYBE had ordered Min Hee-jin to provide a statement on these leaked chats. However, she has not issued a statement yet.
