    Blow to Discount Brokers: Sebi says charges levied by market institutions should be uniform

Discount broking firms' revenues are expected to get hit as a significant part comes from the paybacks that exchanges give for the volumes they generate.

    RBL Bank to raise Rs 65 billion via institutional placement of shares, debt issue

    Veteran BJP leader L K Advani discharged from AIIMS

    Veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani, aged 96, was discharged from AIIMS on Thursday after being admitted the previous night. He was evaluated by a team of doctors from various specialties, including urology and geriatric medicine, and underwent a minor procedure. According to an AIIMS official, Advani was hospitalized for old age-related issues and has now been discharged from the old private ward of the hospital.

    Senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani, admitted to AIIMS, is in stable condition. Recently honored with the Bharat Ratna, Advani has a long political career, having served as BJP National President and held key roles like Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister under Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Born in Karachi in 1927, he joined the RSS in 1942 and has been a prominent figure in Indian politics. Despite losing the 2009 elections, he paved the way for Sushma Swaraj as Leader of the Opposition.
