Joyeeta Gupta, the Indian-origin scientist and professor of environment and development in the Global South at the University of Amsterdam, has criticised the inadequacy of the global response to climate change. Speaking in Delhi, Gupta claimed that countries are waiting on others to take action and that despite claims of working towards net zero, there is no clear plan on how to achieve it.
