    The Tis Hazari Court in Delhi extended the judicial custody of Bibhav Kumar, a former aide to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, for one day. Kumar was produced via video conferencing in connection with the Swati Maliwal assault case, for which he was remanded to judicial custody on May 31. The extension was granted as the Investigation Officer was absent. Advocate Karan Sharma represented Kumar during the hearing. Kumar was arrested on May 18 after a complaint was filed by Swati Maliwal on May 16, following an alleged assault incident on May 13.

    Swati Maliwal assault case: Delhi Court extends Bibhav Kumar's judicial custody for one day

    Delhi's Tis Hazari Court extended the judicial custody of Bibhav Kumar, a former aide to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, for one day in the Swati Maliwal assault case. Kumar was remanded to judicial custody on May 31 and his custody was extended as the Investigation Officer was absent. The court had earlier dismissed his regular bail plea due to threats received by the victim and the fear of influencing witnesses. This is the second time his bail plea has been dismissed.

A prominent AAP member, Atishi, argued that the charges against Kumar are baseless and part of a larger conspiracy. The AAP refuted the allegations, claiming they are part of a plot by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
