    Senior BJP party leader Mohan Majhi will be BJP's first Chief Minister of Odisha. KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida have been appointed as deputy CMs. The new government will take oath on June 12. The BJP secured a majority by winning 78 seats in the 147-member Odisha Assembly. Central observers Rajnath Singh and Bhupender Yadav oversaw the selection of the new Chief Minister.
