    93% of Lok Sabha poll winners are crorepatis: ADR analysis

    A report by the Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR) has revealed that 93% of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections winning candidates are millionaires, a significant increase from 88% in 2019. The top three wealthiest candidates are TDP's Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, BJP's Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, and BJP's Naveen Jindal. The analysis found that out of the 543 winning candidates, 504 are millionaires.

    Lok Sabha polls: 280 MPs elected for first time

    The 18th Lok Sabha will see 280 new MPs, an increase from the 2019 elections. 263 new MPs have previously served in Lok Sabha, and 16 have been Rajya Sabha members. Out of 53 ministers, 35 have won. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the largest party with 240 seats, followed by the Indian National Congress (INC) and Samajwadi Party.
