    Northeast insurgent groups under Pressure in Myanmar due to internal feud

    The ongoing internal conflict in Myanmar has created a challenging situation for insurgent groups from Northeast India who have sought refuge there. These outfits are now facing pressure to either participate in the conflict or vacate the area altogether. One such group, the United National Liberation Front (UNLF), which is the oldest Meitei insurgent group from Manipur, recently signed a peace accord with the Centre and the Manipur government. The UNLF had previously operated from bases in Myanmar.
