Amarnath Yatra: J-K Police issue special traffic advisory for yatra convoy, non-convoy movement
To ensure safe and efficient movement of pilgrims and other commuters during the holy Amarnath Yatra, the Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police have issued an advisory on National Highway-44 with cut-off timings and instructions for various convoy and non-convoy movements.

CareEdge Ratings predicts a 7-10% slowdown in the pace of National Highways construction in India, estimating around 31 km/day for the current fiscal year due to increased execution challenges. Despite a healthy 20% uptick to 34 km/day in FY24, the agency expects a decrease to 11,100-11,500 km in FY25. The pace remains lower than FY21's 37 km/day due to execution difficulties and competition. BOT-HAM remains the preferred mode of award, constituting around 55% of projects awarded during FY21-24.

Bengaluru-Salem NH Accident: Car bursts into flames and breaks in half in truck pile-up, four charred to death
A car and a truck were involved in a tragic accident on the Bengaluru-Salem National Highway. The collision resulted in the death of four individuals, including two women. The incident was captured by a CCTV camera. The footage shows a speeding truck crashing into another truck on a bridge. Subsequently, the truck collided with another truck, which then struck a car, causing it to fall off the bridge and catch fire. Another car following closely behind also sustained damage in the collision.

Cabinet approves 6-lane bridge over Ganga in Bihar, road project in Tripura
