    Miscalculation leads to escalation as Israel and Iran clash

    Jaishankar who last visited Oman in December 2019 has kept in touch with Badr on the sidelines of international meetings. He met Badr twice in 2021 - August 2021 in Tehran on the sidelines of the oath taking ceremony of the new President of Iran and December 2021 in UAE on the sidelines of 5th Indian Ocean Conference. Both the Foreign Ministers also held a virtual meeting in December 2020.
